CONTENT KNOWLEDGE
Rationale
Throughout my time at Auburn, I have been able to expand my knowledge in various courses. It is important that a future educator takes courses like these so that they possess background knowledge on the information they will teach and so that they will understand the importance of learning. The following are products of learning in various courses I have taken at Auburn University to support my degree in Elementary Education.

RELEVANT COURSES
COMM - Public Speaking
CTRD - Fundamentals of Language and Literacy Instruction
EDMD - Library Media for Children

CLOSE READING ESSAY
Also for my British literature class, this assignment was to write a close reading essay. I chose to write on Shakespeare's play, "As You Like It". I enjoyed challenging myself to tackle the play in its original written style and found to connect its form to one of the character's monologues.
SCIENCE ARTICLE CRITIQUE
An assignment for my Curriculum Natural Science class was to critique articles containing ideas for STEM instruction. Linked below is a critique that I wrote on the article titled “Choosing Content That’s Worth Teaching”. Critiquing this article helped me generate ideas for classroom instruction.
GROUP LESSON PLAN
An assignment in my Curriculum Mathematics class was to create a lesson plan based off of an ATLAS video. This lesson plan was written in collaboration with one of my classmates. The activity helped me understand how to write lesson plans and how to take what I write on a lesson plan and implement it in a classroom.
